Policy Changes

Dear Parents/Guardians of Salmo Children’s Centre,
 
Although we are not currently operating, I am obliged to let you know about the following changes to our Billing and Cancellation policies and procedures.
These policies/procedures will be important to consider when it is time for you to start booking child care spaces again.
At the February meeting of the Board of the Salmo Child Care Society, the following changes to our Billing and Cancellation procedures were approved.
Please Note:  Our rates are not increasing, we are simply eliminating the hourly rate option, and the option to cancel bookings without penalty.
 
Effective June 1, 2020, the following change to our billing and cancellation procedures will be implemented:

Parent fee reduction from the Province of BC will continue to be applied at a rate of $8.75 per half day and $17.50 per full day, for under 3 year olds, or $2.50 per half day and $5.00 per full day for children aged 3 years to kindergarten.

Cancellation Policy:
 
-Clients will be billed for all reserved spaces, and may request additional spaces, when available. 
 
-A minimum of two weeks notice in writing, or via email, is required to book extended holiday time (ie. summer vacation) or withdraw, without being billed, from any of the Salmo Children's Centre programs.
 
-Parents/guardians are still expected to notify the Centre if their child will be absent from any of the programs on any given day.
