. The Salmo Children’s Centre is operated by the Salmo Child Care Society, a non-profit organization whose purposes are:
To
provide high quality childcare programs, in accordance with the
Community Care Facilities Act and Child Care Regulations, for all
children under the age of 13 and their families.
To
provide a safe, happy, nurturing environment that is free from
stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination.
To facilitate the
emotional, social, creative, physical, cognitive, and moral
development of all children under the age of 13.
To benefit our community, by providing healthy, constructive, leisure, and educational options for all children.
The Salmo Child Care Society is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, which is comprised of parents and members of the community.
The Society is supported by parent fees, donations and fundraisers. We are proud to be participating in the $10/day, helping make child care affordable for families.
Parent involvement and support for the activities of the board, will greatly enhance the programs at the Salmo Children’s Centre.
Children may not always remember what you taught them, but they'll always remember how you made them feel.
